We’re back in the office!

It’s been a strange time for everyone in the past few months with some businesses closing their doors, people going into isolation and essential workers continuing their important roles throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Working as we do in the cloud, we were able to move our operations into home mode and share information through webinars and email. Now that we are back in the office, we are happy for clients to continue with this model or to make an appointment to see us in person.

Jobkeeper allowance

If you are claiming the JobKeeper allowance, you must make a monthly business declaration to continue receiving payments for the previous month. This needs to be done between the 1st and 14th of each month. For example, to be reimbursed for JobKeeper payments in May, you need to complete your declaration by June 14. For clients with Xero, we will be able to use the program to assist in this process. If you don’t receive an email regarding payment, you will need to follow up or you won’t be paid. For more information, visit www.ato.gov.au

Natural Disaster Transport Subsidy

If you have transported livestock or fodder for the purpose of adjustment or for sale or slaughter, you may be eligible for a rebate on the cost of freight. The NSW Government’s Rural Assistance Authority offers financial help to drought-affected farmers. The subsidy also applies to transporting water and fodder. Visit https://www.raa.nsw.gov.au/grants/natural-disaster-transport-subsidy for more information. Please note the deadlines as outlined on the RAA website.

It’s the End of Financial Year!

With tax time just around the corner, it’s time to start gathering your receipts and other tax information so that we can assist with all your end of financial year needs. We will be updating our checklist for tax time and will be personalising for individuals to make it easier.

Phone rebate available

Our friends at Axxis Technology are running a special offer at the moment in collaboration with Safework NSW. Customers need to watch a webinar, obtain the relevant certification, make a purchase from their range of Cel-Fi Stationary and Mobile devices and accessories* to be eligible for a rebate of $500. Applicants must have an ABN registered with a NSW address. Axxis staff can assist with details on the setup and installation of the Cel-Fi units and also give further advice on the rebate.
