John-Curley

Director
CA, Master of Taxation
Registered Tax Agent
Xero Certified Advisor

John excelled at ‘numbers’ at school – and surprised everyone by taking up farming, initially.  While running a successful rural enterprise, John also studied and became a financial planner, working for Monitor Money. He later challenged himself by completing an MBA, majoring in Accounting, at the University of New England. John was awarded for best academic result.

John completed a professional year to be a Chartered Accountant, and then achieved his Master of Tax through the University of NSW.

John became a practice partner in 2002.  In 2013 John embraced Xero and in 2014 John established his own practice – excited by the potential of new ways of doing business.  The past 12 months has been one of consolidation; in moving completely to the Xero platform (as he no longer had a server).

Being an ex-farmer, John clearly has strong rapport with rural clients.  His financial planning background means John has both expertise and a love of self-managed superannuation funds.  He also loves technology and (with an eye to the future) has grasped cloud accounting.  John believes it will transform the way people work – even farmers.  Unfortunately in the country infrastructure can be slow to catch up.

Anne is both a bookkeeper and our go-to person with the ATO. She has worked in the accountancy industry for 20+ years. If you have problems with the ATO, do not hesitate to give Anne a call.  She can assist in troubleshooting and making payment arrangements.  Whilst the ATO change their guidelines monthly, Anne has much experience in what is likely to be accepted. She is also a backup for Karen when she is on leave.

Roz-Pritchard

Roz came to us from being the PA of Dawn Fardell (our onetime local member) in May 2010.  As well as sharing reception, Roz handles the administration side of ASIC and the Superannuation Funds. She also fits in the occasional trip to Townsville, Canberra and Newcastle to visit her 5 grandchildren.
