Welcome Ian!
We have recently welcomed Ian Horsburgh to the Peacocke family who joins us as a partner in the firm. Ian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants who commenced his accounting career with PricewaterhouseCoopers back in 2008. Growing up on the family farm at Carinda, Ian has always had a passion for agriculture and business and for the last 10 years, has been working in Agribusiness and Commercial Banking, based in Dubbo. Specialising in working with agribusiness clients, Ian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. When he’s not helping clients with their financial needs, he enjoys spending time with his wife Sophie, and their four children, working on their small farm, watching and coaching rugby, flying and socialising with friends. We look forward to introducing you to Ian in the near future.

Flood grant funding
Abundant rainfall across autumn and winter has impacted many of our primary producers. Assistance measures are in place to support those business affected by the floods and severe weather that have occurred. The Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) can assist with Special Disaster Grants of up to $75,000 which are now available.
Flood-affected primary producers in impacted LGAs can apply for Special Disaster Grants to access financial assistance to get back operating as soon as possible. The grant can be used for a wide variety of purposes including repairs to fencing, roads and infrastructure damaged by floods.
There are also $130,000 disaster relief loans available to affected business at concessional interest rates and terms for recovery from floods.
Visit www.nsw.gov.au/floods/financial-support for more information about the guidelines and application process or contact our office to discuss.

Tax preparation
Tax time provides an added opportunity to ensure your tax affairs are in order, obtain essential tax advice and see if you can improve your tax position.
You should update your financial records to reflect refinanced debt, losses, restructures, capital gains tax, personal services income, trust declarations and distributions, and private company loans.
